My husband was experiencing eye strain, and the monitor he had was beginning to fail, so I went shopping for a new monitor. I didn't originally intend to buy an HD monitor, but for the price versus size, plus an HD display, this monitor was an obvious choice.
My husband primarily uses it for CAD drawing, sometimes in marathon sessions. It has significantly reduced his eye strain, allowing him to work much longer, and in great detail. The screen is glossy, but it seems to have some sort of anti-glare factor to it. The work station has a huge patio-size window behind it with indirect sunlight, and neither of us notices much glare or reflection on the screen.
Video is definitely improved and looks beautiful on this screen, from low-def to HD. The size and definition make this montior an excellent option for those with vision deficits or for anyone who needs to get up close and personal with images, games and video. Hubby plays strategy games in his spare time, and even the older games look better on this monitor.
It's well-packed, and the most complicated part of set-up is taking off all the wrapping. After that, just set it on your desk, plug and play-- no messy drivers to install. I think it's possible to wall-mount it, but I don't know many people who do that with a monitor. You may need to elevate it on an additional stand depending on your individual needs, but it tilts and is otherwise very adjustable.
The power button is touch-sensitive and in the lower right corner, with 2 USB ports on the left side of the screen. The USB ports make it easy to plug in peripherals if all the ports on your computer are in the back, or if your workstation is set up in such a way that ports in front are not quite as accessible. they were a nice extra on what was already an outstanding monitor.
You won't get much more bang for your buck than this. When you spend a lot of time on a computer, investing in a monitor that keeps eye strain to a minimum is very important. Also, when you're spending so much time looking at it, why not get something that is a pleasure to use? My only complaint is that I don't have one for my own personal use-- yet. I recommend this monitor without hesitation.

This thing is beautiful. I bought it from Dell with my new desktop and really like it a lot. It is huge! (I am coming from a 19" 4:3 LCD monitor.) The picture on this is crisp and the colors are very accurate. I could look at this all day (and I do.) The size is large enough to easily work on two documents side by side.
I have mine mounted on a wall swivel arm I got very cheaply from eBay. The included stand takes up a lot of deskspace and is limited in movement.
The version I have also has a built in webcam which (I am told) looks terrific using skype and the built in microphones work very well.
I would unconditionally recommend this product.

I've written down some pro's and con's:
Pros:
- Beautiful color, amazing clarity... looks good
- Big display
- Cost isn't terrible
- Cool touch buttons
- Stand is HIGHLY flexible (PERFECT stand)
- Monitor looks sleek and sexy, thin and shiny
- Glossy screen makes colors pop
- Webcam included
- Cord organizer in the back
Cons:
- Higher than HD resolution is good for multi-tasking, but it stretches your videos (HD and DVD) and therefore the quality of your videos goes down. If you're looking for a HDTV/HD movie viewing monitor... go with a straight 1080 resolution
- Screen easily gets marked up by fingerprints, dust, etc.

I actually bought this monitor at another website earlier this year for $249. Don't know why its gotten so pricey. I bought it for my son who's in college majoring in computer science and game development. He loves it. The 2ms response time and hi-def graphics are perfect for gaming. Also, the widescreen allows him to have two full-sized documents open side by side (great for programming and testing). It also has a number of inputs including HDMI so he can hook up his Xbox 360 as well. He/I highly recommend this monitor.
UPDATE: I just bought another for myself!
